Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Telehealth Nurse to counsel and educate oncology patients on specialty drug therapies via phone. This role involves no direct patient care or home visits. Your expertise will contribute to patient understanding and adherence to treatment plans, while ensuring compliance with contracted and accrediting regulations.
Responsibilities- Counsel and educate new and existing oncology patients on specialty drug therapies through inbound and outbound phone calls.
- Ensure adherence to contracted and accrediting regulations as outlined by drug specifications.
- Maintain complete, thorough, and accurate documentation using electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with industry standards.
- Discuss potential and current side effects with patients, educating them about treatment alternatives to facilitate ongoing therapy adherence.
- Identify and report adverse events and product complaints to the manufacturer, FDA, and other governing authorities as required.
- Telehealth experience
- Triage and acute care expertise
- Oncology nursing experience
- Active RN license
- Utilization management skills
- Patient education proficiency
Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with a current unrestricted multi-state compact state license (NC)
- Preferred experience in Oncology and/or Hematology
- 3+ years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in acute, inpatient care preferred
- Strong computer skills including email, word processing, spreadsheet, and web-based programs
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Experience with motivational interviewing preferred
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret practice standards, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations
The work schedule requires onsite presence from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, with occasional Saturday shifts on a quarterly rotation, which may be remote. You will be working within a leading healthcare organization focused on patient care and access.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, NC.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41.00 - $41.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
