Flexible work arrangements, including virtual/hybrid work locations, are an integral part of the School of Medicine’s Working Forward initiative. This position’s work location is designated as hybrid and may be subject to change based on unit business needs.
Housed within the UNC Center for Thriving Communities, the Advanced Research Assistant will work directly with center research staff, faculty, and external stakeholders.
The primary responsibilities include participant recruitment, informed consent, data collection, and incentive distribution for the Community Rx‑Kidney Health trial. Additional duties may involve supporting administration, project management, data analysis, scholarly dissemination, and grant writing as needed. The successful candidate will display strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work independently and within diverse research teams.
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences- Experience with project management software (Asana preferred) and/or survey software (REDCap and Qualtrics preferred)
- Experience working across the full lifespan of projects (grant writing through dissemination of findings), including direct interaction with research participants
- Experience managing partner or vendor communications
- Experience working in a virtual environment
- Bilingual in Spanish and English language skills
