Position Overview:The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a dynamic and accomplished researcher to join our esteemed faculty. The successful candidate will have a robust track record in cardiovascular research. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge research aimed at understanding and treating cardiovascular diseases, leveraging our state‑of‑the‑art facilities and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to driving forward innovative research initiatives that can translate into clinical practice.
The role also involves active engagement in teaching and mentoring. The candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of cardiovascular specialists through lectures, seminars, and hands‑on training. This position also includes opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—clinicians, engineers, and basic scientists—fostering a synergistic approach to cardiovascular research. Access to extensive institutional resources will support the candidate’s research endeavors, facilitating impactful discoveries and contributions to the field of cardiovascular medicine.
The duties for this position include writing and publishing research in high quality peer‑reviewed scientific journals; attending and making presentations of research at national and international scientific conferences; developing national and international scholarly reputation. The position also instructs and mentors junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents and fellow trainees; participates in department, college and university committees and initiatives.
In addition, the position conceives, plans, designs, implements and conducts research studies in the area of cardiovascular medicine; develops and writes grant proposals to seek and obtain funding to support research program; obtains and maintains NIH RO1 or equivalent funding.
