Responsibilities

Tenure track faculty position in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health; serves as principal investigator or co‑investigator on sponsored research grants and on original research projects. Conceptualizes, plans, designs, implements and conducts research studies in the areas of Psychiatry, Neuroscience, and Behavioral Health; develops and writes grant proposals to seek and obtain funding to support research program; secures and maintains NIH RO1 or equivalent funding;

writes and publishes research in high quality peer reviewed, scientific journals; attends and makes presentations of research at national and international scientific conferences; develops national and international scholarly reputation; instructs and mentors junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents and fellow trainees; participates in division, department, college and university committees and initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (M.D., Ph.D.) with specialization in Psychiatry or Clinical Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Licensed in Ohio by the time of appointment for clinical degrees. Candidates with substantial research programs and funding but without clinical training may be considered if they are actively interested in training clinical professionals and supporting clinical care.
  • Strong record of external research funding and expertise in developing, leading or substantially contributing to research, education, and clinical programs.
  • Experience in randomized clinical trial designs or related personalized treatment approaches is particularly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to publish in high quality peer‑reviewed scientific journals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and mentoring skills for trainees across all academic levels.
