Job Summary
Manage the day-to-day operations of restaurants and room service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Ensure food and beverage products meet standards and make appropriate changes when necessary.
- Continuously improve service by evaluating service breakdowns using guest feedback, data, and behavior.
- Communicate service breakdowns and facilitate opportunity‑seeking meetings to involve all team members in service improvements.
- Address service breakdowns and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Resolve all guest complaints and relay to the manager.
- Maintain adequate supply levels.
- Assist with department reporting and data analysis as required.
- Maintain standards of excellence in service and cleanliness in the room service outlet.
- Develop and maintain department procedures and guidelines.
- Assist in developing procedures for food service and menu items for maximum guest satisfaction.
- Prepare schedules and station breakdowns.
- Conduct pre‑shift meetings to communicate important information.
- Conduct end‑of‑shift banking functions and complete logs accurately.
- Assist cashiers with voids and overrides.
- Build relationships by greeting guests and staff with a warm, friendly greeting and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude.
- Serve as a communication liaison to subordinates and the Restaurant Manager.
- Ensure timely delivery of comp requests from VIP services and other casino departments.
- Perform complete set‑up and operation of each scheduled shift.
- Enforce appearance and service standards.
- Delight guests with outstanding service.
- Address team member performance issues and provide continuous positive coaching.
- Develop highly skilled, successful team members and hold them accountable for meeting standards.
- Communicate and enforce company expectations, including Code of Commitment, policies, procedures, department goals, and business strategy.
- Ensure service recovery activities and personnel actions (interviews, training, terminations, performance reviews, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions).
- Train subordinates with the knowledge and direction needed for their responsibilities.
- Ensure accurate performance appraisals and work history entries.
- Maintain high morale and motivate the team.
- Monitor cash handling procedures for bartenders and other team members.
- Conduct physical inventory of barware and requisition replacement items as needed.
- Ensure compliance with EBCI liquor laws and Crown ABC Board guidelines.
- Monitor asset control of liquor, draft, and bottled beer and wine.
- Other duties as assigned, including adherence to regulations and corporate policies.
- Establish and endorse Caesars Entertainment business objectives, ethics, and values.
- Staffing, scheduling, ordering, and events.
- Meet & greet pool guests to provide high‑level service.
- Plan and execute pool & beverage events.
- Assist resort staff in fostering a cooperative work environment.
- Respond to and resolve guest complaints promptly with creative problem‑solving.
- Demonstrate knowledge, selling techniques, and service delivery of all beverages.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or related field preferred.
- Two years of supervisory experience in a hospitality environment required.
- Three years of experience in food service required.
- RASP certification required (complete within 30 days of hire).
- Serv Safe certification required (complete within 90 days of hire).
- Food preparation and presentation.
- Proficiency with Windows‑based office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and motivational skills.
- Sanitation standards and procedures.
- Multi‑tasking, problem‑solving, and adaptability.
- Attention to detail, teamwork, and professional appearance.
- Stand on feet for an 8‑hour shift, lift 50 lbs, stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grasp items.
- Move a keg weighing 165 lbs and respond to visual/auditory cues.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations, on narrow/slippery surfaces, and in temperatures up to 95°F.
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
