The Director of Key Accounts – Health Systems is a senior‑level role focused on building and managing strategic relationships with major healthcare clients, such as hospital systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and large health organizations. The position blends account management, sales leadership, and market strategy to drive growth, profitability, and long‑term client engagement.
Preferred Home Base LocationPreferred homebase location is metro area, reasonable access to airports, and within these states:
North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, or Mississippi.
- Drive profitable sales growth through conversion, penetration and retention strategies with target health systems.
- Meet or exceed organizational key performance indicators; sales, targets, quotas by managing account performance and redirecting efforts with sales leadership as required to meet goals.
- Negotiate with national, regional and local health systems at highest levels.
- Create value to leverage current footprint in targeted account for higher level access to key decision makers.
- Build high‑level strategic customer relationships. Build trusted partnerships with VP and C‑Suite to position Aesculap as a resource.
- Identify and develop Aesculap’s “champions” within each health system network and set up a web of influence map within the system.
- Translate business strategies into clear objectives and tactics for communication and execution to sales leadership. Work with sales leadership to maintain high accountability for driving tactics.

Expertise:Knowledge & Skills
- Requires advanced knowledge of professional field and industry. Influences the development of and drives the application of principles, theories, concepts. Determines best course of action.
- Work under minimal supervision. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals. May periodically assist in orienting, training, and/or reviewing the work of peers.
- Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
- Represents the organization as a prime contact on projects and departmental operations. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on issues often requiring coordination across organizational lines.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 04‑06 years related experience required.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Travel up to 50%.
