Job Title:Student Assistant Meat Processor (Animal Science)

Shift:First Shift
Responsibilities:- Perform and assist with food animal slaughter, cutting, and processing of sellable cuts.
- Label meat products.
- Perform sanitation and follow HACCP, USDA FSIS food safety regulations, and all SSOP, GMPS, and CCPS of Meat Lab.
- Assist with preparing the lab for classes, aiding research in the lab space, and assisting with extension events.
- Manage inventory and sales inventory.
- Ability to show up on time.
- Work independently or in a group.
- Complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to move/lift 40 pounds.
- Multitasking capabilities helpful.
- No prior experience required.
- All training is done in person, on the job.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
