Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing a secure entrance and perimeter for the facility
- Learn all the jobs of your immediate staff.
- Ensure completion and accuracy of reports done by staff
- Complete daily and weekly reports as needed
- Supervise, train, and evaluate performance of staff; implement disciplinary procedures when necessary.
- Resolve employee’s conflicts and issues promptly and objectively.
- Direct communication with company and outside services
- Work in the Order Management System/Shop Floor
- Work with the Plant Shipping/Shag Service/Traffic
- Work with the Traffic Department to coordinate shipping date, times, and locations
- Maintain logs for inbound and outbound trucks
- Attend meetings as scheduled
- Reports to Safety Manager
- Other duties as assigned
- Previous security related experience preferred but not required
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not required
- 10-key and computer skills required
- Ability to handle conflict
- Ability to think critically and problem solve
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Communication skills—written and verbal
- Ability to speak multiple languages is preferred but not required
- Self-starter and Team player
- Strong leadership / management skills
- Must be able to demonstrate effective people skills
- Must be able to pass a Background Check
- Must be able to work in security guard shacks, security vehicles in hot and cold conditions
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must be able to walk, run, sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Lift up to 50lbs.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
