You will conduct routine foot and mobile patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism and strong communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, staff, parents, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including conflicts, medical situations, fire alarms, and other urgent events.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, hallways, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
- Control access by monitoring entry points, checking identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and directing visitors to appropriate areas per site policy.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other monitoring systems when assigned, and report irregularities according to post orders.
- Document and report incidents, observations, and patrol activities in shift logs and written reports, and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Assist with building opening and/or closing procedures when assigned, including checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for proper status.
- Enforce site rules in a professional manner, including addressing loitering, trespassing, and policy violations, and contacting site personnel and/or local law enforcement when needed.
- Provide traffic and parking support during student arrival and dismissal, special events, and/or other peak periods as assigned.
- Participate in required training and follow post orders, including responding to drills and planned emergency response activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be able to ride a bike.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
