Maintenance Technician - HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical & Mechanical

Location:

Cary, NC (Must live within a 30 minute commute)

Hours:

M-F 8am-5pm - Occasionally on-call

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and preventive tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of building systems and equipment. This position requires hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Position Summary

* Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

* Inspect, diagnose, and correct issues with building infrastructure, equipment, and utilities.

* Maintain boilers, chillers, air handlers, exhaust fans, and other HVAC-related components.

* Install and repair electrical fixtures, outlets, wiring, and lighting systems in compliance with safety codes.

* Repair and maintain plumbing systems including valves, pumps, drains, and fixtures.

* Perform mechanical maintenance on motors, conveyors, compressors, and other equipment.

* Respond promptly to maintenance service requests and emergency calls.

* Complete maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

* Assist with facility improvement projects, equipment installations, and system upgrades.

* Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations, building codes, and safety standards.

* Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.

* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related trade.

* Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

* Electrical certification / license a plus

* Ability to problem-solve and work independently or in a team.

* Strong communication skills and collaborative team oriented

* Basic computer skills

* Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work including climbing ladders and working in various environments.
