Convergint is seeking a full‑time, enthusiastic, results‑driven and forward‑thinking Security Service Technician to join our culture. In this role you will service and support existing customers by responding to service calls, carrying out customer support programs and small projects.

- Act as the customer’s best service provider, ensuring Convergint remains their first choice for service.
- Respond to routine and non‑routine customer service calls, scheduled maintenance, and emergency or after‑hours calls; diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace defective parts, debug systems, and install projects as needed.
- Use strong troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
- Identify and resolve problems for many types of service calls, analyze repair requirements, provide appropriate solutions, perform necessary repairs and replacements, and exercise judgment when selecting methods and techniques.
- Complete accurate and detailed service reports for customers and Convergint in a timely manner to enable accurate invoicing and job cost tracking.
- Provide custom systems integrations, detailed system upgrade planning and execution, systems audits, consultation, and database management. Install, configure, and support a variety of network systems and equipment for assigned projects.
- Execute all service calls in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate consistently with team members to improve overall operations at the Convergint Technology Center and company.
- Perform preventive maintenance for installed systems that are typically less complex.
- Work closely with other specialists to cross‑train on servicing existing customers and small projects.
- Scope technical assistance, system checkout of new and existing installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance routines for installed security and the installation of small or less complex projects.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
- Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; keen awareness of customer needs without prompting.
- Solid technical skills and/or experience with fire alarm and electronic security systems.
- Strong programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and develop solutions.
- Self‑starter who works well with direct supervision.
- Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g., using hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel locally to jobsites regularly; minimal overnight travel may be required.

- Education:
High School/GED or equivalent experience. - Minimum Experience:
3–5 years servicing, integrating, and programming access control systems. - Preferred Experience:
Relevant field service;
Access Control experience with AMAG, Lenel, Genetec, Software House – CCURE, or S2. - Drive – No CDL required.
