Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and preventive tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of building systems and equipment. This position requires hands‑on experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Inspect, diagnose, and correct issues with building infrastructure, equipment, and utilities.
- Maintain boilers, chillers, air handlers, exhaust fans, and other HVAC-related components.
- Install and repair electrical fixtures, outlets, wiring, and lighting systems in compliance with safety codes.
- Repair and maintain plumbing systems including valves, pumps, drains, and fixtures.
- Perform mechanical maintenance on motors, conveyors, compressors, and other equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance service requests and emergency calls.
- Complete maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with facility improvement projects, equipment installations, and system upgrades.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related trade.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Electrical certification / license a plus.
- Ability to problem‑solve and work independently or in a team.
- Computer skills and Work Order Systems knowledge.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative team oriented.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical work including climbing ladders and working in various environments.
