Job Overview
Protecting customers' properties from wood-destroying organisms. Termite Technician works as first line of defense, conducting inspections, prevention, and treatment services to provide peace of mind for customers.
Responsibilities- Identify termite problems and understand behaviors to determine remedial steps.
- Perform termite treatment services safely according to company guidelines and standard practices.
- Apply anti-termite treatments to structures following schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions.
- Communicate to customers about critical conditions conducive to termite activity, discuss procedures and supplemental structural modifications.
- Verify job specifications for each work order.
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment.
- Complete production forms documenting services provided.
- Interact with customers and explain services provided.
- Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp/dusty locations, confined spaces, and work at heights up to 20 feet.
- Prepare job site for treatment and enter/exit structures and crawl spaces, ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.
- Comfortable working 20 feet up on a ladder and in small confined spaces.
- Experience in general labor, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter, or attic work a plus.
- Ability to work on roofs and high areas.
- Proper use of PPE, including OSHA-compliant respirator, and work in confined spaces or narrow aisles.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
- At least 1 year of customer service; experience in termite control is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Flexibility with working hours, Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- Basic math skills and ability to follow product label instructions.
- Clean shaven face required for safety (rebreathers must seal).
- Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (licenses/certificates covered by us).
Hourly rate: $18.00 - $26.00. Pay may vary by location, skills, education, experience, overtime, incentives, commissions, and route assignment.
