Switcher

Overview

Ingles Markets is looking for a Switcher for its transportation division located in Black Mountain, NC. As a Switcher, you will:

• Keep truck yards flowing by allocating trailers and inspecting equipment.
• Maintain contact with shipping/receiving departments.
• Move trailers to ensure product flows efficiently.
• Inspect trailers for mechanical problems, identify deadline trailers in need of repair, and ensure all equipment is properly registered and licensed.
• Assist in warehouse operations, as assigned.

• Pay starting at $22.50/hr.
• Multiple shifts - shift differential may apply.
• Start earning Paid Time Off day 1 (FT).

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Will conduct a Criminal Background Check.
• Must pass an E-Verify Screening.

• Will train the right candidate.
• Previous switcher experience is a plus.
• Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must want to work and have excellent attendance.
• Exceptional work ethic and attention to detail are ideal.
