Del Driver-CDL

Position Summary

The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies, Federal and State regulations, and deliver all freight undamaged. Work as a team player to deliver, load/unload materials while providing world‑class customer service experience.

• Inspect truck/trailer for defects to ensure safe operation.
• Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
• Deliver materials to assigned area as directed by the customer while prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
• Lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. during load/unload.
• Exhibit excellent customer service skills and professional attitude.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL). Minimum Class B License;
  Class A strongly preferred.
• Clear three‑year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team; ability to lead, execute, delegate, and collaborate as needed.
• Ability to self‑manage, show initiative, be proactive, and drive results.
• Professional verbal and written communication with coworkers and customers.

• Remain in a stationary position while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time.
• Lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading/unloading.
• Move materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading flatbed; maintain safe lifting practices.
• Judge distance while delivering materials and operating boom.
• Communicate accurately with management and coworkers in delivery situations.
• Work constantly in an outdoor environment while making deliveries.

• Prioritize job sites and deadlines.
• Manage stress based on customer deadlines.
• Multitask effectively.
• Accept and act on information and directions.
• Communicate solutions promptly when problems occur.
• Apply sound judgment.
