Special Education Teacher
Tact Staff Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time, onsite position at a high school in Casa Grande, Arizona for the 2026–2027 school year. This Resource Teacher role supports students in grades 9–12 who access the general education curriculum with accommodations, modifications, and specially designed instruction.

July 16, 2026 – May 28, 2027 - Onsite in Casa Grande, Arizona

- $50–$55/hour (W2) based on experience

Students in this program participate in the general education curriculum while receiving individualized support through their IEPs. They transition between classes throughout the school day and work toward earning a standard high school diploma.
The Resource Teacher provides specially designed instruction, academic support, executive functioning strategies, and accommodations to help students succeed in inclusive classroom settings.
Typical class sizes range from 12–25 students.
Responsibilities- Deliver standards-based instruction aligned with Arizona Academic Standards
- Provide specially designed instruction based on student IEP goals
- Modify assignments, assessments, and instructional strategies while maintaining grade-level expectations
- Implement accommodations and supports outlined in student IEPs
- Monitor student progress using ongoing assessment and data collection
- Maintain accurate special education documentation and compliance records
- Foster an organized, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Teach executive functioning, organization, study skills, and self-advocacy
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, related service providers, and paraprofessionals
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Support students in developing independence and preparing for successful graduation
- Valid Arizona Special Education Teaching Certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field
- Experience implementing IEPs and providing specially designed instruction
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience teaching secondary students with disabilities
- Knowledge of standards-based grading and curriculum modification
- Experience in inclusive and co-teaching environments
- Training in behavior intervention strategies
- Experience supporting executive functioning skills
- Familiarity with assistive technology
- Competitive pay of $50–$55/hour (W2)
