Summary

As a Designer I, you'll support the development of drawings and documentation that help bring critical facility and equipment improvements to life. Your work ensures our projects are safe, reliable, and aligned with our mission of delivering affordable, dependable energy across the state. You'll collaborate with experienced designers, engineers, and project teams to help shape the systems that power our communities every day.

Casa Grande Location

• Prepare and update design drawings for facility, plant, and equipment modifications.
• Assist in developing design change notices, bills of material, and project documentation.
• Support project teams to ensure design packages are accurate, complete, and aligned with project needs.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and field teams to understand requirements and incorporate feedback.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across design standards, accuracy, and documentation quality.

• Foundational knowledge of drafting, design principles, or related technical skills.
• Ability to learn new tools and design methods with a growth mindset.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing clear, accurate work.
• Collaborative, curious, and comfortable asking questions to understand project needs.

• High School diploma/GED.
• Must have completed two years college or technical school course work in Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) or a technical discipline or equivalent.
• Specific Business Units may require one (1) year design experience in area of specialization.
• Demonstrated oral and written communications and interpersonal skill, as well as PC skills in a Windows environment.
• Some work areas may require a valid driver’s license.
