The Network Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing network performance; installing and maintaining network equipment; troubleshooting issues; collaborating with vendors; maintaining documentation; ensuring network security; supporting disaster recovery; and providing advanced support.
Shift: 2nd Shift – 6pm to 4am – Four 10's.
Location:
Casa Grande, AZ (on-site).
- Monitor and analyze network performance, ensuring uptime, reliability, and speed.
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Identify and troubleshoot network problems, providing rapid resolutions and root cause analysis.
- Work with vendors and service providers to implement upgrades and new technologies.
- Maintain and update network documentation such as diagrams, inventories, and configurations.
- Ensure network security by implementing policies, monitoring access, and performing vulnerability assessments.
- Support disaster recovery planning and execution related to network infrastructure, and provide second- or third-level support for escalated network-related issues.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to recommend improvements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree may be considered).
- 2–4 years of experience in IT and network infrastructure.
- Proven hands‑on experience in network administration and engineering.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and hardware.
- Expertise in network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and DNS/DHCP.
- Experience with network security best practices and technologies, including firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco DNAC).
- Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, Solar Winds, Grafana).
- Experience with scripting and automation is a plus (e.g., Python, Ansible).
- Relevant industry certifications are highly preferred, such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+.
