Define and develop quality acceptance standards and specifications. Validate and characterize new processes, equipment, and fixtures to ensure they are ready for production implementation with a focus on delivering damage-free vehicles. Create detailed manufacturing instructions that document quality-critical characteristics and support the design of production and inspection workstations to enhance quality control. Analyze designs to reduce and eliminate defects as part of a unified agenda for quality excellence.

Develop and maintain the company's quality strategy through a mindset of continuous improvement and precise execution. Perform quality metrics reporting, regularly presenting data and improvement plans to factory leadership. Create and manage Control Plans and auditing strategies based on risk assessments and data gathered from both the factory and the field. Conduct completed vehicle audits and partner with issue owners to drive improvement activities.

Contribute to product design enhancements by providing feedback to Design Engineering and supporting Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) efforts for both new and existing products. Address supplier quality issues by working closely with suppliers to implement effective corrective actions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education and Experience:
  
  Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field + Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in vehicle quality engineering.

  Skills:
  
  This position must include Education or Experience with:
  Electric vehicle product launch;
  Vehicle dynamics and vehicle testing;
  Lean process improvement;
  Qualification of new machines using DOE (Design of Experiment);
  Qualifying cameras for vehicles; CAD design for new fixtures and jigs;
  Validating performance of vehicles; MATLAB, Linear regression, Data analysis, and Statistical process control
