Summary
The Designer I supports engineering and facilities teams by preparing and maintaining design documentation for facility, plant, and equipment projects. This role focuses on accuracy, collaboration, and documentation quality to help ensure modifications and improvements are properly designed, tracked, and implemented. The Designer I works closely with engineers, project teams, and stakeholders to support safe and effective project execution.
Note- this role is out of our Casa Grande location.
- Prepare/assist in the developing of design drawings, design change notices, bill of materials and other documents required for facility/plant modification, equipment and other projects.
- Assist engineering teams with design updates and documentation related to equipment installations, upgrades, and facility modifications.
- Maintain organized and accurate design files, drawings, and supporting documentation.
- Support the review and revision of design changes to ensure documentation reflects approved scope and intent.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, and project teams to support project needs.
- Follow established drafting, documentation, and quality standards.
- High School diploma/GED. Must have completed two years college or technical school course work in Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) or a technical discipline or equivalent.
- Specific Business Units may require one (1) year design experience in area of specialization.
- Demonstrated oral and written communications and interpersonal skill, as well as PC skills in a Windows environment.
- Some work areas may require a valid driver's license.
