Summary
This role supports plant design updates by assisting in the preparation and modification of Plant Design Change Packages and related documentation. By gathering, organizing, and developing engineering data, this position helps ensure design changes are accurate, well‑documented, and ready for implementation supporting safe, reliable plant operations and APS’s commitment to delivering dependable energy to the communities we serve.
Note- this role is out of our Casa Grande location.
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of modifications of Plant Design Change Packages
- Complete simple to medium job package projects
- Gather, organize, and develop engineering data from design documentation
- Support the development of Design Change Notices, Bills of Materials, and other design documents
- Participate in walk‑downs to support design accuracy and field alignment
- Experience supporting plant or engineering design documentation
- Ability to gather, organize, and develop engineering data from existing design documentation
- Familiarity with design change notices, bills of materials, or similar technical documents
- Attention to detail and ability to support multiple job packages
- Willingness to collaborate with engineering and field teams, including participating in walk‑downs
- High School diploma/GED. Must have completed two years college or technical school coursework in CADD or a technical discipline (or equivalent) plus two (2) years design experience in area of specialization.
- Must demonstrate effective interpersonal, communications and PC skills in a Windows environment.
- Some work areas may require a valid driver's license.
This position may require access to and/or use of information subject to control under the Department of Energy's Part 810 Regulations (10 CFR Part 810), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) (15 CFR Parts 730 through 774), or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (22 CFR Chapter I, Subchapter M Part 120) (collectively, 'U.S. Export Control Laws').
