The Supplier Industrialization Manager is an people-leadership role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Supplier Industrialization Engineering - Powertrain. You will lead and develop a team of Supplier Industrialization Engineers responsible for Metals and Drive Unit commodities, while owning supplier development and production readiness from sourcing through launch, ramp-up, and post-launch stabilization. This role exists to ensure suppliers can meet Lucid requirements for manufacturing capability, quality, capacity, timing, and scalable execution across complex powertrain metal components and assemblies.
Success will be measured through production readiness, APQP and PPAP milestone completion, launch quality, capacity achievement, issue closure, and safe-launch execution. You will combine deep technical manufacturing knowledge with disciplined risk management and clear executive communication to align suppliers and cross-functional partners. The role offers broad ownership across supplier strategy, technical decisions, team development, and the industrialization of components central to Lucid's electric powertrain systems.
You'll Own
- Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop Supplier Industrialization Engineers, setting clear objectives, strengthening technical capability, supporting hiring and onboarding, and building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. - Production Readiness:
Own supplier industrialization from sourcing through Start of Production and post-launch stabilization, ensuring manufacturing readiness, process capability, capacity, quality systems, and program milestones are aligned. - APQP Execution:
Drive completion and quality of APQP and PPAP deliverables, including PFMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, Safe Launch Plans, Run-at-Rate, capacity validation, and manufacturing readiness reviews. - Technical Decisions:
Provide manufacturing leadership across die castings, aluminum castings, forgings, precision machining, gears, motor components, rotor and stator components, housings, structural metals, and drive unit assemblies, evaluating processes for capability, reliability, scalability, and cost effectiveness. - Quality & Risk:
Lead data-driven risk mitigation, root-cause analysis, containment, corrective action, qualification issue resolution, and the development of Master PFMEAs, AQRs, and lessons-learned repositories. - Cross-Functional Alignment:
Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Program Management, and Operations to support sourcing decisions and drive Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Quality. - Performance Improvement:
Improve supplier quality, delivery, capacity, and cost by applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, standardized industrialization methods, performance metrics, and executive-level recovery planning.
- 10+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing, supplier quality, supplier industrialization, or product launch, including 5+ years of people leadership and team management experience.
