Position Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for overall management of the daily operations and manufacturing of product. The Production Manager provides leadership for the Packaging and Processing departments and works closely with the Packaging and Processing Managers to develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement and optimizing manufacturing processes. The Production Manager also maintains responsibility for delivering against financial budget and production plans.

The Production Manager is responsible for overall management of the daily operations and manufacturing of product. The Production Manager provides leadership for the Packaging and Processing departments and works closely with the Packaging and Processing Managers to develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement and optimizing manufacturing processes. The Production Manager also maintains responsibility for delivering against financial budget and production plans.
The Production Manager is responsible for determining production capacity and establishing through puts and efficiencies required to deliver against forecast and demand. The Production Manager is also responsible for making operational or capital recommendations for expanding and optimizing production systems to reach new capacity growth. The continued growth of the Daisy Brand business requires a dedicated and proven leader to work closely with other department managers while simultaneously working in collaboration with other functional areas of the company.
Key Responsibilities Operations Leadership- Lead Processing and Packaging operations to achieve safety, quality, service, and cost objectives.
- Execute manufacturing strategies that support business growth and operational excellence.
- Establish clear performance expectations and accountability across assigned departments.
- Manage operating expenses and departmental budgets to achieve financial objectives.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve operational results.
- Align production schedules and resources with forecasted demand and customer requirements.
- Manage production capacity, throughput, and efficiency to meet operational targets.
- Identify and implement opportunities to optimize production systems.
- Drive continuous improvement through data-based decision making and root cause problem solving.
- Improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize labor and asset utilization.
- Promote the adoption of best practices and innovative manufacturing technologies.
- Develop, coach, and mentor leaders and employees to build a high-performing organization.
- Foster employee engagement, teamwork, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Reinforce Daisy Brand values and support a positive workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Lead initiatives that strengthen workplace safety and housekeeping performance.
- Take immediate corrective action on food safety and quality issues as required
Education and Experience
- Four-year degree in either a business or technical field, or 6 years of leadership experience managing food or dairy production
- Six plus years of experience in a high production environment.
- Ten years’ experience in food and or dairy manufacturing
- Dairy Manufacturing experience, preferred
- Previous operational management experience, preferred
- Memberships in professional organizations, preferred
- Proven leadership ability
- Strong analytical and applied problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with dairy and food plant operations
- Familiarity with cultured dairy products, procedures, and equipment
- Ability to train, motivate and develop others
- Detail oriented, precise, communicates with clarity.
