Dryer Operator – Night Shift – Casa Grande, AZ

The Dryer Operator will learn the operation of the fluid bed room for production and the cleaning process. The Dryer Operator will learn the operation of the lactose, rework and whey protein systems, operational knowledge of powder transport systems and handling and storage systems. Dryer Operators will gain operational knowledge and applicable tasks of evaporating batches, product sterilization, drying product, weighing and adding vitamins, add up corrections, troubleshooting and CIP of equipment and following all GMP/safety guidelines to stay in compliance with OSHA and FDA regulations.

This position works out of our Casa Grande, Arizona location in the Abbott Nutrition division. As a Dryer Operator, you will support daily manufacturing operations by safely operating equipment, handling ingredients and finished products, and completing cleaning and sanitation activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Weighing, measuring, and adding vitamins and minerals according to production specifications.
  • Operating forklifts to transport raw materials, ingredients, and finished products throughout the facility.
  • Assisting Dryer Technicians with production activities and Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures.
  • Performing housekeeping, sanitation, and GMP-related cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Operating filling stations and managing product packaging activities.
  • Assembling and disassembling Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) systems and powder transport equipment.
  • Reconstituting Nonfat Dry Milk (NFDM) as required for production processes.
  • Operating and performing CIP procedures on evaporator, injector, dryer, and fines reinjection systems.
  • Filling, handling, storing, and moving IBCs using forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Operating powder handling and transfer systems, including transporters, hoppers, and related processing equipment.
  • Supporting troubleshooting, setup, changeovers, and general production operations to ensure efficient manufacturing processes.

You'll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year production experience
  • Must be able to work effectively within a team environment, possess excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

This is a 12-Night shift position from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM and allows you to have every other weekend off.

Mon – 12 hours, Tues – 12 hours, Wed – OFF, Thurs – OFF, Fri – 12 hours, Sat – 12 hours, Sun – 12 hours
