Job Location and Shift

Work Shift:

Night (7:00PM–7:30AM) with weekend rotations. Opportunities to work 3×12‑hour shifts, flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential when applicable.

Position Summary

Registered Nurse on the ICU at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center. The ICU is 22 beds, caring for medical, surgical, cardiac patients, including respiratory failure, COPD, heart failure, sepsis, MI and post‑STEMI cases. Work with a 24‑hour tele‑health team and intensivist support.

Core Functions

Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history, diagnostics, laboratory data and reports abnormal results.

Formulates a plan of care, including discharge plan, based on assessment data, patient and family input, and medical plan of care. Sets realistic, measurable goals and collaborates with multidisciplinary team.

Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision. Provides care per physician orders, policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Delegates appropriately and supervises other nurses and staff.

Evaluates patient and family response to care and teaching, revises the plan of care as needed, and evaluates progress toward goals.

Documents assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record. Documentation is legible, timely, and reflects objective/subjective data, interventions and patient response.

Provides care based on the best evidence and may participate in research activities. Participates in unit or facility shared leadership and in education, orientation and mentoring of personnel, patients, students and families.

Contributes to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes, including participation in professional organizations and quality improvement initiatives.

Supervises staff and workflow of the department in some roles.

Interacts with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families and external contacts. Provides spiritual support when needed and prioritizes data for patient and family support.

Minimum Qualifications

Current valid RN license in the state of practice; BLS certification is required.
Experience in an acute‑care hospital setting within the past 12 months; minimum one year of experience for Banner Registry positions.
Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations.
Additional certifications or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
For specific positions: possession of appropriate fingerprint clearance card or criminal history affidavit as required by Arizona or Colorado.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.
Professional certification.
Additional related education and/or experience.
