Job Summary
Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Night Shift (Casa Grande, Arizona). Earn up to $15,000 sign‑on incentive, 18% night‑shift differential, and a $3 per hour flat‑rate for weekend work. The PCU is a 28‑bed unit that monitors up to 75 patients via remote telemetry and supports a diverse patient population of medical, surgical and cardiac patients.
Shift DetailsNight shifts from 7:00PM–7:30AM, 3–12hours per shift. Self‑scheduling with possible adjustments as directed by unit needs. Weekends and holidays are required according to group rotation.
Responsibilities- Assess patients’ physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs; review history and diagnostic data; report abnormal results.
- Formulate and update a comprehensive plan of care, including realistic goals, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of nursing staff and other personnel.
- Evaluate patients’ and families’ responses to care and teaching, and revise care plans as necessary.
- Effectively document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record, ensuring legibility, timeliness, and policy compliance.
- Provide care based on the best evidence available and, when applicable, participate in research activities.
- Engage in unit or facility shared leadership, education, orientation, and precepting/mentoring activities.
- Contribute to society through activities that promote excellent patient outcomes and participate in improvement of national nursing quality indicators.
- Supervise staff and workflow for the department when required; interact with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts, including clergy for spiritual support.
- Current, valid RN license in the state of practice (or temporary/interim/compact RN license).
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of one year acute‑care nursing experience; experience in the specialty area desired.
- Knowledge of and ability to use telemetry monitoring.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Professional certification related to the specialty area.
- Additional education or experience.
