General Purpose
Under general supervision, performs semi-skilled general labor to assist with the maintenance, repair and upkeep of the water reclamation facility, wastewater collection system, and water distribution systems.

This position will remain open until filled with a first review date of June 23rd.

- Performs semi-skilled labor in the maintenance, construction, repair and upkeep of the water reclamation facility, wastewater collection system, and water distribution system.
- Performs skilled and semi-skilled construction, maintenance and manual labor work.
- Assists with the removal and install, repair and upkeep, and configuration of pumps, motors, and a variety of equipment at the water reclamation facility, wastewater collection systems, and water distribution system.
- Performs routine maintenance and custodial duties; picks up debris, paints facilities, structures and equipment, and makes minor and major maintenance repairs.
- Assists with the installation and maintenance of pumps, motors, and a variety equipment used at the water reclamation facility, wastewater collection system, and water distribution system.
- Inspects, cleans and performs routine maintenance work on trucks and equipment; identifies and reports mechanical problems requiring additional repair.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Education and ExperienceHigh School diploma or GED equivalent, and one (1) year related work experience.
Special RequirementsPossession of a valid Arizona Commercial Driver’s License may be required for certain positions. Special technical certifications may be required for some work assignments.
Necessary Knowledge and Skills- Knowledge of City policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair methods and materials.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices.
- Knowledge of traffic laws and rules involved in vehicle and equipment operation.
- Skill in safely and efficiently operating equipment according to standard operating and safety procedures.
- Skill in reading and interpreting maps, technical specifications and operations manuals for vehicles and equipment.
- Skill in following and effectively communicating verbal and written instructions.
