The job of Delivery Driver
- Nutrition Services is performed to transport food and supplies to designated sites on scheduled routes, maintain the vehicle in safe operating condition, assist nutrition service personnel in the preparation of meals for transport to school sites, perform a wide variety of warehousing duties, load and unload orders, stock inventory, and transport orders of equipment, materials, and supplies required for instructional and support functions throughout the District and maintain scheduled and on-demand routes.

This job reports to the Nutrition Services Field Supervisor.

• Essential functions include: clean the warehouse; drive vehicles (e.g., truck, van, forklift, etc.).
• Load and unload delivery trucks; load carts of food items; maintain vehicles (cleaning, inspecting, fueling, oil, tire pressure, etc.).
• Participate in physical inventories; receive food and non-food items at Central Kitchen/Warehouse; respond to inquiries of staff and vendors; stock food items, equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Transport a variety of food-related items (e.g., produce, condiments, kitchen supplies and equipment, etc.).
• Transport food carts required for the provision of meals and other food items (e.g., hot and cold food carts, packaged and perishable food, empty food carts, etc.).
• Unload stock and non-stock items and assist other personnel as may be required.

Experience:

Job related experience is desired.

Education:

Less than high school.

Requirements:
Valid Driver's License & evidence of insurability;
Criminal Justice fingerprint/background clearance; ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English.

This is a 10 month School Year position only.

Salary: $16.11 Per Hour
