2 positions available — Part-Time. Shift includes nights and weekends. The Casper Ice Arena is looking for Customer Service Stars to be the heartbeat of our front-line team.

Required Responsibilities

Incumbents are responsible for providing courteous customer service associated with point-of-sale systems, class registrations, memberships, passes, basic clerical duties, and other related work as required.

Knowledge, Abilities & Skills
  • Knowledge
    :
    Receptionist and customer service principles; cashiering and mathematical calculations; record keeping.
  • Abilities
    :
    Work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays; learn cashiering methods and procedures; learn cash register operation; follow City safety rules and procedures; facilitate visitor and customer traffic; respond to inquiries and requests; maintain attention to detail amid interruptions; handle multiple customers; operate general facility layout knowledge; organize/prioritize tasks; operate modern office equipment and software; maintain a neat, professional appearance;

    communicate effectively; follow written and verbal instructions; establish and maintain working relationships.
  • Skills
    :
    Cashiering and mathematical calculations; record keeping; conflict resolution; operation of modern office equipment/software; courteous, knowledgeable, and tactful customer interactions; oral communication sufficient to exchange information and receive direction.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) preferred
  • First Aid/CPR preferred
  • Six months experience in a public setting providing customer service preferred
  • Must be at least 16 years of age, preferably 18 years of age or older

Some roles may require random drug testing based on duties listed, such as emergency response, hazardous materials, CDL operations, or work with minors. Positions typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Light work: exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.

Incumbents work indoors in a front desk/counter environment and are exposed to typical office noises, with frequent sitting, typing, and direct customer contact.
