We are currently seeking a dependable and customer-focused professional to fill a part-time Saturday position at the Scale House. This role plays an essential part in supporting weekend Transfer Station operations and ensuring excellent service to our community.
A typical Saturday includes opening and closing an assigned cash register, greeting and assisting customers at the check‑in window, and accurately processing transactions. You will work closely with the Saturday Transfer Station Supervisor and fellow Scale House team members in a fast‑paced, public‑facing environment.

Reporting StructureIncumbents are responsible for providing routine clerical and administrative support as a function of the Solid Waste facility.
Knowledge- Customer service principles.
- Basic math.
- Record keeping and file management principles.
- Modern office procedures, methods, and use of technological equipment including database management.
- Work a variety of shifts including weekends, and holidays.
- Organize records in an easily retrievable fashion.
- Operate a variety of modern office equipment and tools.
- Work on a variety of tasks simultaneously in person, and on the phone.
- Routinely demonstrate the City of Casper core values.
- Perform basic math calculations.
- Learn, explain, and follow applicable procedures and policies.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Answer phones and provide assistance to customers via multiple modes of communication.
- Accurately proofread numerical and text data.
- Accurately type documents at a reasonable rate of speed.
- Be flexible with assignments which may change.
- Perform a variety of office and computer tasks.
- Prepare clear, accurate and concise reports.
- Become proficient in all equipment, machinery and/or software required to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Follow written and verbal instructions and directions.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Follow all City safety rules and procedures and immediately report all accidents/incidents or unsafe conditions to a supervisor.
