Job DescriptionPart-time (3.75 hours a day) beginning the 2026‑2027 school year. Two positions available. The listed hourly rate is a proposed increase pending Board approval in July 2026.

0-3 Years:
Step 1 ($17.36)
4-6 Years:
Step 4 ($18.10)
7-10 Years:
Step 6 ($18.62)
11-15 Years:
Step 8 ($19.16)
The job of Education Support Personnel (JC606/608) is to assist in the monitoring and instruction of students under the supervision of certified staff, including instruction of behavioral, academic, and social education students; observing and documenting student progress; assisting in implementation of plans for instruction; and assisting students by providing for special health care needs.
This job reports to the Administrative Manager or Principal.
Essential Functions- Adapts learning processes under the direction of certified staff to provide opportunity for all students to participate in instructional programs.
- Assists certified staff with implementation and supervision of instructional activities for individual students and small groups.
- Provides classroom and daily living skills support to help students function in school and community environments.
- Attends requested meetings, such as trainings and district meetings, to receive and convey information relative to job functions.
- Implements learning processes to ensure required student learning as mandated.
- Maintains instructional materials and student records for documentation and availability of learning resources.
- Monitors students in various school activities to model appropriate behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Provides positive reinforcement to support students in meeting individual and school-wide discipline plans.
- Responds to emergency situations and potential conflicts with students to de‑escalate behaviors and ensure safety.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
High school graduation or GED.
Certificates & LicensesHighly qualified.
