Job DescriptionThere are currently 8 vacancies (location to be determined).
$12,000 signing bonus available for successful employee hires new to NCSD.
- $6,000 dollars given for the first year upon obtaining licensure/certification.
- $2,000 paid at the end of each school year if there are successful evaluations and contract renewal.
- Signing bonus may be prorated based upon start date for the initial payment and the first payment at the end of the year.
- Applicants who previously received the signing bonus are not eligible for the bonus again.
- Previous employees who are hired in a signing bonus eligible position must be separated from the District for at least 365 days to be eligible.
NCSD accepts previous accredited public school teaching and administrator experience towards movement on the certified teacher salary schedule, which includes all verified and approved years in Wyoming and up to 5 verified and approved years out of state.

Purpose StatementThe job of CLASSROOM TEACHER is to provide support to the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibility for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.
This job reports to the Principal.
Essential Functions- Collaborate with all stakeholders for the purpose of establishing and maintaining leadership and positive relationships while focusing on high expectations and continuous improvement for student learning.
- Design instruction for the purpose of ensuring all students are engaged and participating in individual and classroom learning objectives.
- Develop and guide learning in partnership with students for the purpose of ensuring continuous improvement in alignment with state and district standards.
- Evaluate individual student and class performance for the purpose of gauging and adjusting instruction to improve performance.
- Implement current best practice instruction and resources for the purpose of improving and enhancing student learning in alignment with state and district standards.
- Maintain documentation and required reports for the purpose of complying with site, district, policy, and regulations.
- Manage classroom structure and procedures for the purpose of establishing a positive, safe, and orderly learning environment.
- Model positive behaviors for the purpose of promoting appropriate social and interpersonal behavior in alignment with district goals.
- Oversee assistant teachers, student teachers, instructional assistants, volunteers, and/or student workers for the purpose of ensuring an effective classroom structure.
- Participate in meetings for the purpose of conveying and gathering information to perform functions.
- Respond to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and directing to appropriate personnel.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Degree:
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Current Wyoming teacher certification, endorsed in content area as required per certification.
