NCSD accepts previous accredited public school teaching and administrator experience toward movement on the certified teacher salary schedule, including all verified and approved years in Wyoming and up to 5 verified and approved years out of state.

The job of CLASSROOM TEACHER is to provide support to the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibility for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans; delivering group and individual instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, professional staff, and administrators; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress.

This job reports to the Principal.

• Collaborate with all stakeholders to establish and maintain leadership and positive relationships, focusing on high expectations and continuous improvement for student learning.
• Design instruction, including lesson plans and individualized instruction, to engage all students and achieve learning objectives.
• Develop and guide learning in partnership with students to promote continuous improvement aligned with state and district standards.
• Evaluate individual student and class performance, analyze assessment data, and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Implement best practice instruction and resources to improve student learning aligned with state and district standards.
• Maintain documentation and required reports to comply with site, district, policy, administrative, state, and federal statutes and regulations.
• Manage classroom structure and procedures to establish a positive, safe, and orderly learning environment.
• Model positive behaviors and promote appropriate social and interpersonal behavior aligned with district goals.
• Oversee assistant teachers, student teachers, instructional assistants, volunteers, and/or student workers to ensure effective classroom structure.
• Participate in meetings, including team, building, professional growth, and parent/teacher conferences, to perform functions.
• Respond to emergency situations to resolve immediate safety concerns or direct to appropriate personnel.

• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Bachelor's degree in a job-related field.

Current Wyoming teacher certification, endorsed in the required content area.
