Job Description: The job of CLASSROOM TEACHER - Dual Language Immersion (DLI) involves supporting the instructional process by supervising students, developing lesson plans, delivering group and individual instruction, collaborating with teachers, professional staff, and administrators, and responding to inquiries from parents regarding instructional program and student progress. This role supports academic and linguistic achievement within a rigorous two‑way dual language immersion framework.
NCSD accepts previous accredited public school teaching and administrator experience towards movement on the certified teacher salary schedule, including all verified and approved years in Wyoming and up to 5 verified and approved years out of state.

Essential Functions- Collaborates with all stakeholders to establish and maintain positive relationships with high expectations and continuous improvement for student learning.
- Designs instruction, including lesson plans, individualized instruction, and accommodations for diverse learning styles, to ensure all students are engaged and meet learning objectives.
- Develops and guides learning in partnership with students around classroom mission, learning goals, strategies, and recognition, ensuring continuous improvement aligned with state and district standards.
- Evaluates individual student and class performance by analyzing assessment data and other comparative data to adjust instruction.
- Implements best practice instruction and resources focused on student needs and classroom priorities to improve learning.
- Maintains documentation and required reports, such as student data, reports, and teaching certification, to comply with policies and regulations.
- Manages classroom structure and procedures, including activities, behavioral expectations, and classroom culture, to provide a safe and orderly learning environment.
- Models positive behaviors, including professional appearance, interpersonal skills, and respect for diversity, to promote appropriate social behavior.
- Oversees assistant teachers, student teachers, instructional assistants, volunteers, and/or student workers to ensure effective classroom structure.
- Participates in meetings, professional growth opportunities, and parent/teacher conferences to gather and convey information necessary for performing functions.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned, to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
- Responds promptly to emergency situations, such as building emergencies and suspected abuse, directing to appropriate personnel.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Equivalency: Must be fluent in target language (Spanish).
Certificates and Licenses: Current Wyoming teacher certification endorsed in the required content area.
Required TestingPass a language proficiency test from an approved testing company that demonstrates native or native‑like proficiency in oral and academic language in Spanish.
