Job Summary:

The Life and Workforce Readiness Coordinator assists with and manages Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming’s organization-wide Life and Workforce Readiness initiatives. This position coordinates youth programming, career exploration, employability-skill development, postsecondary preparation, community partnerships, work-based learning and hands-on work experiences.

The Coordinator supports both in-Club and out-of-Club programming, including Up Next, Career Works and other approved Life and Workforce Readiness initiatives. The position works directly with youth, Club staff, schools, employers, community partners, the Grant Department and the Marketing Department to expand opportunities, promote the organization’s work, meet grant requirements and document measurable impact.

  • Lead out the organizations Life & Workforce Readiness programming by coordinating with branch directors, community partners, and other Boys & Girls Clubs around the country.
  • Facilitate programming with youth after school and during out of school times.
  • Manage youth work based learning expectations, certifications, and job assignments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers, schools, colleges, training providers, workforce boards, chambers of commerce, community organizations, and other partners.
  • Develop and maintain accurate systems for tracking all Life & Workforce Readiness participation, outcomes, and activities.
  • Support the grant writing and marketing efforts.
  • Support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming Young Ameritowne:
    Wyo Towne program.
  • Transport youth as needed.
Qualifications
  • A four-year degree in education, youth development, workforce development, business, community development, social services or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • A minimum of two years of related youth-development, education, workforce-development, program-coordination or community-engagement experience.
  • Ability to facilitate engaging programming for youth with varied interests, backgrounds and readiness levels.
  • Ability to develop relationships with schools, employers and community organizations.
  • Strong project-management, organization and follow-through skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout BGCCW’s service area.
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and ability to meet organizational van-driving requirements.
  • First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to obtain certification within the required timeframe.
  • Ability to complete all required BGCCW, BGCA, youth-safety and work-based learning training.
  • Wage: $21-$23
