- Develop and maintain process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), heat and material balances, and operating envelopes for gas plant facilities.
- Perform process simulations for separation trains, compression, dehydration, sweetening, and flaring/relief systems to optimize plant performance.
- Size and evaluate equipment including separators, compressors, heat exchangers, dehydrators, and control valves per applicable engineering codes.
- Lead or participate in HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA reviews; track and close action items to ensure safeguard implementation.
- Troubleshoot plant upsets including bottleneck diagnosis, foaming, carry‑over, slugging, and anti‑surge events; define and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements related to gas processing, emissions, relief systems, and produced water quality.
- Collaborate with operations to monitor daily and monthly production reporting and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Support commissioning and startup activities including system acceptance testing, performance testing, and first‑gas ramp‑up plans.
- Participate in short‑ and long‑term capital planning and provide engineering support for project scope development and execution.
- Review vendor calculations, drawings, and proposals; respond to RFIs and provide technical guidance.
- A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, electrical or petroleum engineering with three (3) years of experience in natural gas processing, midstream or upstream oil and gas operations; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (API, ASME, OSHA, EPA).
- HAZWOPER certification or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to read and interpret documents written in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- A Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience with sour gas operations, high‑pressure wells, or facilities operating up to 10,000 psi.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Wyoming, or ability to obtain (Wyoming requires 30 continuing professional competency hours biennially).
- Proficiency with process simulation and engineering software (e.g., HYSYS, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Experience with CAD software, preferably Solidworks.
- Professional registration is preferred but not required.
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre‑employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
