What You'll Do- Coordinate GIS development with other departments and linkage to outside agencies; prioritize development of component layers and structure of spatial data.
- Coordinate the continuous development, operation and maintenance of all GIS related products, including SQL database and PODS7 relational database.
- Prepare and export current geospatial datasets in various file formats to support field operations and integration with multiple mapping, engineering, and data collection software systems.
- Serve as subject matter expert on the GIS program; provide leadership in the deployment of GIS technology; recommend planning and operating improvements; maintain database functionality and stability.
- Maintain records in compliance with guidelines set forth by regulatory agencies.
- Pursuing or recently completed degree/certificate in GIS Technology; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Ability to travel.
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
