The Wyoming Gaming Commission is looking for qualified individuals or companies to submit bids for a racetrack safety inspector. The racetrack safety inspector will be responsible for completing thorough inspections of four horse racing tracks in the state of Wyoming prior to their respective race seasons.
Scope of WorkThe thorough inspection will include all safety related aspects of the racetrack including but not limited to the following:
- Track surface: condition, depth, composition, width, and moisture levels.
- Safety rails: type, condition, height, markings.
- Paddock: saddling stall condition, ground condition, overall layout and condition.
- Veterinarian Test Barn: adequately equipped, overall condition.
- Barns: material type, condition.
- Track maintenance equipment: overall condition and amount.
- Security: overall track security for participants.
- Safety policies: adequate policies in place.
A comprehensive written report detailing the findings of the inspections will also be provided to the Wyoming Gaming Commission.
The winning bid will be awarded in April 2026 with work beginning May 2026. Questions about the bid process should be addressed through the website above.
