Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and continuous evolution of the overall enterprise risk strategy, policies, standards, and guidelines related to corporate risk across the organization. Oversee and direct the review of third‑parties, applications, and/or technology environments during onboarding, development, or acquisitions to ensure potential risks are identified, quantified, and mitigated or accepted, with escalation protocols for material risks. Ensure the risk framework aligns to and exceeds industry standards, driving continuous improvement.

Build, mentor, and manage a high‑performing risk management team, fostering a culture of risk awareness across the enterprise. Develop and implement the enterprise‑wide risk management program, including policy, procedures, training, and risk reporting to executive leadership and the Board. Partner with finance and Prime executives to establish and optimize processes for the analysis and monitoring of financial and counter party risks, including risk limit frameworks.

Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure regulatory obligations across global operations are met, acting as a key liaison with regulators and auditors. Drive strategic risk initiatives and transformation projects that strengthen Bit Go’s risk posture and support business growth objectives.

Requirements
  • Deep expertise in risk management and control frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000, NIST RMF).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of information security and privacy standards and regulations (ISO 27001/27701, NIST, FFIEC, SOC 2, CCPA, EU GDPR).
  • Proven experience building and leading risk management teams in dynamic, high‑growth environments.
  • Strong commitment to quality work, ethics, integrity, and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and staff management skills with the ability to influence and develop talent.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with and present to a C‑suite, Board members, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to explain complex risk concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple strategic initiatives and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • College degree in business, public policy, risk management, or a technical field (BA/BS required; MBA, CPA, CISA, CRISC, or related advanced degree/certification preferred).
  • 10–15 years of relevant experience in risk management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated industries strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge and enthusiasm about blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
