External Affairs Officer
We're seeking a strategic, relationship-driven professional to lead the Wyoming Community Development Authority's legislative, policy, and government relations efforts. This position plays a key role in advancing affordable housing and community development by monitoring legislative activity, analyzing policy, building strong partnerships, and representing WCDA with policymakers and stakeholders throughout the state.
The ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator who enjoys translating complex issues into practical recommendations, developing meaningful relationships, and helping influence policies that support Wyoming communities.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, Communications, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Minimum of three years of experience in legislative affairs, government relations, or policy analysis, preferably in affordable housing, economic development, or a related field
- Experience preparing testimony, policy briefs, presentations, or other public-facing materials
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience with data analysis or data visualization tools is a plus
- Ability to travel throughout Wyoming as needed
