Community Health
Founded in 1990, BIAW is dedicated to strengthening individual well-being and community vitality by identifying and bridging gaps in social services. Guided by a commitment to equity, BIAW works to ensure that individuals and families are supported, connected, and empowered to reach their full potential. Located in Casper, Wyoming, between Casper Mountain and the Platte River, BIAW serves as a trusted resource for individuals and families throughout the community.
BIAW was established on the principle that listening to community members is essential to delivering meaningful services. For more than three decades, the organization has responded to evolving community needs by providing compassionate, reliable, and individualized support to individuals and families facing a wide range of challenges. BIAW offers comprehensive services that include education and prevention programs to promote safety and resilience;
information and referral services that connect individuals to critical resources; and personalized case management tailored to each person’s unique circumstances. The organization also provides community-based mental health and substance use treatment, including individual and family counseling, addiction recovery services, ASI assessments, and behavioral health support. In addition, BIAW provides financial management services to assist individuals in managing their financial affairs with integrity and professionalism, as well as access to durable medical equipment through a loan closet to help reduce financial and logistical barriers during recovery and healthcare transitions.
More than a service provider, BIAW serves as a trusted community partner and remains committed to listening, responding, and supporting community members while working toward a safer, healthier, and more equitable community.
