Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chaplain to provide spiritual support and guidance to individuals in various settings, including healthcare facilities, hospices, and community organizations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a deep understanding of diverse faith traditions. This role involves offering bereavement support, crisis intervention, and leadership in spiritual care initiatives.

Duties
  • Provide spiritual counseling and support to patients, families, and staff in a compassionate manner.
  • Conduct public speaking engagements to educate groups on spiritual care practices and resources.
  • Plan and coordinate events that promote spiritual well‑being within the community.
  • Offer bereavement support to individuals coping with loss, providing comfort and guidance during difficult times.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds to understand their spiritual needs.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies for those facing emotional or spiritual distress.
  • Write reflective materials, prayers, or resources that can be shared with the community.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to integrate spiritual care into patient treatment plans.
  • Provide hospice care support, ensuring dignity and respect for patients nearing the end of life.
  • Engage in Christian counseling as needed while respecting the beliefs of others.
Experience
  • Bereavement support techniques and practices.
  • Crisis intervention methods tailored for individuals in distress.
  • Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with Christian counseling approaches while being open to various faith perspectives.
  • Proven leadership abilities in guiding teams or groups in spiritual matters.
Requirements
  • Ordination or Endorsement.
  • Certification (Optional but Preferred).
