• Sick leave – 1 day per month, 12 days per year (accrual begins at hire; pro‑rated for part‑time hours)
• Vacation – 10 days per year, accrued at 0.0385 hours per hour worked (excluding overtime); accrual begins at hire but may not be used until after six months of employment
• Pension plan (after one year of continuous service)

• Support all social service activities that provide services, programs, and events promoting the Casper Salvation Army
• Maintain and implement TSA Family Social Services and case management
• Perform needs assessments for clients
• Provide information and referrals to other agencies
• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the Family Services Department
• Recruit volunteers
• Assist Corps Offices with public awareness of all services, programs, and ministries of the Salvation Army Casper Corps
• Complete all paperwork related to social services
• Maintain records and documents for social services and each client served per TSA reporting procedures; enter accurate information into the database
• Assist with Food by Choice Panty program, Warehouse and Hope Center program, and kitchen activities as directed by Corps Offices, Administrative Assistant, or HR
• Respond to phone calls regarding social services and screen clients arriving at the Hope Center facility
• Ensure safety protocols and uphold Protecting the Mission guidelines and procedures
• Follow and maintain all Salvation Army policies
• Assist with Christmas Social Service Program, toy drives, and distribution of toys during Christmas
• Coordinate seasonal assistance working with other departments, agencies, volunteers, and corporations
• During the holiday season, work full‑time hours from November through December 30
• Prepare gifts for the Angel Tree and holiday outreach program

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: degree in social services
• At least 21 years old with a valid Wyoming driver’s license
• Two years of successful work experience in a similar field

• Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and work independently or with minimal supervision
• Meticulous, accurate, and precise in handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Leadership skills and a strong collaborative attitude

• Ability to collaborate with people of diverse backgrounds
• Working knowledge of Salvation Army policies
• Compassionate understanding of and adherence to The Salvation Army mission and ministry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to learn new software with basic training
• Ability to access and produce information from the computer
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of standard office equipment (printer, scanner, fax) and general office procedures
