POSITION SUMMARYThe RN Orthopedic/Neurology Coordinator works closely with physicians for the operating room, guides vendors to ensure correct equipment and supplies for cases, ensures cases are picked correctly, updates physician maps, and educates staff on new equipment, procedures and other changes.
This is a full‑time position, 40 hours per week, and includes participation in on‑call rotation.
CORE FUNCTIONSMust possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, a temporary RN license, or compact RN licensure valid for the current state. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Experience in the clinical area for which the RN Orthopedic/Neurology Coordinator is applying is desired. Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area, demonstrated through annual validations. A minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting is required. Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area.
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Professional certification preferred.
Previous experience in a leadership role preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
