Location and Schedule

Per Diem – Casper, Wyoming area. The role may be based in one of the metropolitan‑area locations noted in the posting and may change based on business needs.

Job Description

A Registered Nurse provides home infusion services, inserting, monitoring, and removing IVs used for medications, blood products and nutrition. The nurse monitors patients for adverse reactions, maintains tubing and bandage integrity, performs veinous phlebotomy when needed, records vital signs, completes physical assessments, reviews systems, and documents all patient‑related activities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Insert intravenous cannulas, administer prescribed intravenous solutions and medications, monitor and maintain infusion sites, evaluate responses to therapy.
  • Teach patients and caregivers to perform and monitor home infusion as prescribed.
  • Prepare clinical records, care plans, and progress notes for each patient visit.
  • Coordinate patient visit schedules and phone calls.
  • Drive to patient locations within the state as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state laws and company policies.
  • Communicate with patients, families, supervisors, field personnel, and other agencies regarding any issues or special needs.
  • Complete required reporting and documentation, including therapy admin reports and nursing notes.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and audits as directed.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with a degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Current state RN license in the location designated in the posting.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • CPR certification.
  • IV certification and experience in central line care and management.
  • Background in home care, critical care, emergency nursing, or hospital discharge planning is preferred.
  • Experience in staffing and demonstrating strong multitasking and communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Willingness to travel to patient homes and health care facilities.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers and meeting quality standards for services.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • RN license in other states.
  • PICC/Port/Midline experience and certification.
  • Prior Home Infusion Therapy experience.
Physical Demands

The role requires occasional standing, walking, sitting, hand use, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, and hearing. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Other Requirements
  • Participate annually in required legal and ethical compliance training.
  • Act in compliance with LUX Infusion’s legal, ethical, and compliance policies.
  • Adhere to all standards and procedures outlined in the LUX Infusion Compliance Manual.
