Position: Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Community Health Center of Central Wyoming (CHCCW) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Casper clinic team.

Position Summary

The RN/LPN provides high-quality nursing care to patients in an outpatient community health center setting. This position works closely with providers and other members of the care team to ensure patients receive safe, efficient, compassionate, and coordinated care.

The ideal candidate will be patient-focused, dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform patient assessments, obtain vital signs, and document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, treatments, and other clinical needs.
  • Administer medications and immunizations as permitted by licensure and organizational policy.
  • Perform treatments, wound care, injections, and other nursing procedures within scope of practice.
  • Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and health management.
  • Respond appropriately to patient questions, concerns, and changes in condition.
  • Assist with telephone triage and coordinate appropriate follow-up care.
  • Review and communicate laboratory and diagnostic results as directed.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation.
  • Support care coordination and population health initiatives.
  • Promote preventive care and patient engagement.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all applicable laws, regulations, and CHCCW policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with providers, nurses, medical assistants, front office staff, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Current Wyoming RN license/LPN license or ability to obtain Wyoming licensure.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous outpatient, family practice, primary care, or community health experience preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
