Community Health Center of Central Wyoming (CHCCW) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing healthcare team in our Casper, Wyoming clinic
.

As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), CHCCW provides comprehensive, accessible healthcare to patients regardless of their ability to pay.

Position Summary

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive primary and preventive healthcare services to pediatric patients, from infancy through adolescence. The provider will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, behavioral health professionals, dental providers, and other members of the care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine commitment to providing quality healthcare to children and their families.

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care services, including well-child examinations, preventive care, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Perform physical examinations, obtain medical histories, diagnose conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor pediatric growth and development and provide appropriate anticipatory guidance.
  • Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory tests, diagnostic studies, and other appropriate medical services.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and CHCCW policies.
  • Provide immunizations and other preventive health services.
  • Educate patients and parents/guardians regarding health, nutrition, development, medications, and disease prevention.
  • Identify developmental, behavioral, social, and other health concerns and make appropriate referrals when indicated.
  • Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, schools, community resources, and other healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and population health initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive patient outcomes.
  • Provide culturally responsive, compassionate, and respectful care to patients and families.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other organizational activities as required.
  • Comply with CHCCW policies and procedures, applicable federal and state regulations, and professional standards of practice.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current, unrestricted Wyoming Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
    , or eligibility to obtain Wyoming licensure.
  • DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred:

  • Pediatric primary care experience.
  • Experience working in a community health center, FQHC, or rural health clinic setting.
  • Experience caring for underserved pediatric populations.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
