Retail Sales Associate - Part time

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The role offers an hourly wage of $14.00 to $16.00 per hour plus commission based on productivity. Sales associates will greet, engage, and assist customers with sales, loans, and other transactions across a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

• The best working hours in the business. Most stores open at 9:00 AM and close at 6:00 PM; many stores are closed on Sundays.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop a rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and orderly merchandise displays.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes the assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or retrieve products stored in exterior storage areas.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate Point‑Of‑Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2%–8% commission, based on the gross profit of their personal performance. More details regarding the commission incentive plan are provided during the interview process.
