Position: Technician, Maintenance Master/HVAC (Full Time)
Location: Wyoming Medical Center, 1233 E 2nd St, Casper, WY 82602
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm (Full Time)
Salary: $36.75 – $38.03 per hour
Job SummaryThis role performs advanced HVAC maintenance duties at a large medical center, provides field leadership, supports training, and manages escalations.
Responsibilities- Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, air handlers, rooftop units, VAVs, pumps, and associated controls.
- Conduct daily inspections of mechanical equipment, identify deficiencies, and complete corrective maintenance to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Monitor and adjust building automation systems (BAS) to maintain proper temperature, humidity, pressure relationships, and energy performance.
- Lead and coordinate HVAC preventive maintenance programs and contractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, work orders, equipment performance, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians.
- Assist in making decisions on normal and complex repairs; report major problems to supervisors.
- Construct, finish, install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical building systems, fire alarm, sprinkler, and other specialty equipment.
- Supervise and lead a group of workers on projects.
- Read, comprehend, and convey detailed instructions verbally and in writing.
- Review work of outside vendors and licensed maintenance workers; generate punch lists.
- Analyze and correct complex building system problems, alone or as part of a team.
- Maintain logs, perform rounds, complete work orders, conduct tests and inspections.
- Make recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance systems.
- Serve as member of facility emergency response team.
- Master HVAC License.
- Substantial prior professional experience in a senior maintenance role.
- Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
- Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting.
- Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in a specialized trade.
- Master license in one trade or two of following:
Journeyman Electrical License, Registered ACR Technician with EPA certification in Refrigerant, or Journeyman Plumber License. - Valid driver’s license.
