We provide video gaming terminals, redemption terminals and amusement devices (pool tables, juke boxes, dart boards, etc.) to bars, restaurants, convenience stores, truck stops and fraternal and veteran establishments across the country.

SUMMARY

The Field Operations Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, servicing, transportation, inventory management, and operational support of Skill Based Amusement Games (SBAGs), Redemption Terminals (RTs), ATMs, Marketing devices, and related equipment throughout an assigned service territory.

This position serves as the primary field representative for assigned customer locations by performing equipment installations, preventative maintenance, technical repairs, route operations, cash and cassette exchanges, ATM replenishment, documentation, inventory management, and customer support while ensuring compliance with company policies and all applicable gaming regulations.

The Field Operations Technician promotes exceptional customer service by minimizing equipment downtime, maintaining operational readiness, and supporting the success of Accel Entertainment's business partners.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Install Skill Based Amusement Games, Redemption Terminals, ATMs, and related equipment at customer locations.
  • Perform startup testing, quality assurance inspections, and safety verification.
  • Configure and prepare equipment for operation according to regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver equipment and supplies between company facilities and customer locations.
Service and Repair
  • Respond to scheduled and emergency service calls.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, and communication issues.
  • Repair or replace defective components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and wellness inspections.
  • Clean and maintain equipment to company standards.
  • Interpret wiring diagrams and use electrical testing equipment including multimeters and cable testers.
  • Explain game functions to customers when necessary.
Route Operations
  • Deliver, exchange, and reconcile gaming cassettes.
  • Replenish redemption terminal cassettes and ATMs.
  • Collect cash cans and reconcile receipts and deposits.
  • Complete required chain‑of‑custody documentation.
  • Follow all company security procedures for transporting company assets and valuables.
Inventory and Asset Management
  • Maintain assigned vehicle inventory.
  • Ensure adequate stock of repair parts, tools, supplies, and consumables.
  • Follow established procedures for parts ordering and inventory control.
  • Maintain company vehicles in accordance with company policy.
Documentation and Compliance
  • Complete service reports, installation records, inventory logs, reconciliation paperwork, and regulatory documentation.
  • Utilize company software and mobile applications to document field activities.
  • Maintain accurate records for equipment installations, repairs, inspections, and route activities.
  • Comply with all applicable gaming regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
Customer Service
  • Develop positive working relationships with location personnel.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and internal departments.
  • Minimize equipment downtime through timely service.
  • Represent the company professionally at all customer locations.
Safety
  • Follow all vehicle safety procedures.
  • Adhere to company security protocols during transportation of equipment and valuables.
  • Safely operate tools and testing equipment.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings while performing route and service duties.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist other technicians as needed.
  • Participate in on‑call rotations, weekend coverage, and emergency service when assigned.
